So long terrestrial radio. Other than my local sports talk station, The Ticket, I will no longer need you.
If you're considering getting it, you should. I've listened to both and it really comes down to what type of programming you like. Sirius has Stern and the NFL, and XM has MLB and a few other exclusive things. What they both do equally is show you how obsolete regular radio has become.
For the price of a new CD every month, you get 120 stations of variety.
Worth every penny.
Here's a list of my favorite stations:
Left of Center - Indie, College Radio type Rock
Chill - cool, relaxing mix of downtempo electronica and rock.
Backspin - Old School Hip Hop (Genius)
Alt Nation - true Alternative Rock Radio, not that bullshit they try and feed you
Area 33 - trance/electronica
1st Wave - Classic Alternative (think Psychadelic Furs *dances like Ducky*)
Big 80's - Duh. Like, I am so totally still stuck in the 80's. For sure.
Check my links for linkage to cool Sirius related websites.
Merry New Year!
